Shakespeare's beautiful comedy about the complexity of relationships, free at Applegate Park June 14-22
"Much Ado About Nothing" revolves around two different love stories—the first between Hero and Claudio, and the second between Beatrice and Benedick. While Hero and Claudio's romance is nearly ruined by deceit and misunderstandings, Beatrice and Benedick engage in sharp-tongued battles of wit before being tricked into realizing that their verbal sparring comes from an unspoken love for each other. Shakespeare's play about the triumph of truth and love contains some of the most memorable characters and scenes from any of his comedies.
All performances are free of charge and will be at the MOAT in Applegate park. Bring your blankets and chairs, find a spot in the shade, and enjoy some Shakespeare in the Park.
